Kolding, Denmark, 30 December, 2020 – Green Hydrogen Systems, a leading provider of standardized and modular electrolyzers for production of green hydrogen using renewable energy, today announced the strengthening of its board of directors with the election of Thomas Thune Andersen and Christian Clausen as non-executive directors at an extraordinary general meeting.
Thomas Thune Andersen has extensive global managerial experience from the energy and shipping industry including leading positions in A.P. Møller-Mærsk and board positions in listed and privately held companies. Thomas Thune Andersen is currently Chairman of Ørsted, Lloyds Register Group and VKR Holding among other positions.
Thomas Thune Andersen said: “We are in the middle of a green energy transition with societies and industries around the world looking for sustainable energy solutions. I believe in the huge potential of green hydrogen, and Green Hydrogen Systems is one of the most exciting technology providers in this growing industry. Christian Clausen, former CEO of pan-Nordic banking group Nordea, has extensive international managerial experience from the financial industry. Christian Clausen is currently member of the board of directors of Sampo Group, BlackRock Group Limited and BW Group.

Earlier in December 2020, Green Hydrogen Systems announced further investments of approx. EUR 28 million, of which EUR 20 million came from A.P. Møller Holding, to enable Green Hydrogen Systems to meet the accelerating demand for electrolyzer capacity. As part of the agreement to invest, A. P. Møller Holding appointed Simon Ibsen to the board of directors of Green Hydrogen Systems.
Following the extraordinary general meeting on 30 December 2020, the Board of Directors of Green Hydrogen Systems consists of in total seven members:
